Intermediate/Advanced Teen Week (Ages 12 to 17) - July 8-12 (2024)

Intermediate/Advanced classes are held Monday through Friday 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sailors need to have earned their red pin or demonstrate those skills. Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes earlier on the first day of sailing school and at the Deep Creek Lake Sailing Association, 204 Yacht Club Road, Swanton, Maryland. The closing ceremony and awards begins at 3:45 p.m. 

On the first instruction day of each week a child is attending, a parent or guardian MUST check in with an instructor to ensure all Terms and Conditions requirements are met.

Students who are ready for racing are encouraged to also register for the Deep Creek Laser Invitational Regatta.

The physical location of DCSS is different than our mailing address. The sailing school classroom is located on the first floor of Deep Creek Lake Sailing Association (DCLSA) clubhouse.  

Some classes are held at Deep Creek Yacht Club, Inc. (DCYC) Both clubs are located at the southern end of Deep Creek Lake.
