REGISTRATION IS CONTINGENT UPON RECEIPT OF PAYMENT AND ALL REQUIRED FORMS BEFORE CLASS BEGINS
Payor and Participant (or Participant’s Parent/Guardian as applicable) acknowledge that participation in any Deep Creek Sailing School program is contingent upon receipt of payment and all required forms. Such forms include, but may not be limited to, a Liability Waiver form, a Consent to Medical Treatment form, a photo/video release form, and, if Participant is under age 18, a Behavior Contract and participation consent form.
Payor will be taken to required forms immediately after payment is processed. Required forms are also also accessible on the Student Portal page of this website.
SAFETY
Payor and Participant understand that violating safety regulations or failure to comply with instructions of the instructors, staff, or assistants may result in harm or injury to the Participant or others and may be grounds for dismissal from class. Participant agrees to practice safe boating at all times and to wear a life vest whenever on or near the water.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
Payor and Participant understand that the weather on Deep Creek Lake can change quickly, and as long as the conditions are safe, Participants should plan to sail, even if it’s cold or raining.
Payor and Participant further understand that, while the instructors will cover all classroom material, on-the-water instruction time may be reduced due to wind or other weather conditions.
Cancellation & Change Policy
CANCELLATIONS MORE THAN 30 DAYS BEFORE FIRST DAY OF CLASS
Registrants may receive a complete refund if they cancel their registration 30 days or more before the first day of class.
CHANGES MORE THAN 30 DAYS BEFORE FIRST DAY OF CLASS
If you wish to change to a different class, you may do so without any fee, as long as there is space available and you notify us 30 days or more before the start date of the class for which you are originally registered.
CANCELLATIONS OR CHANGES LESS THAN 30 DAYS BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS
If you cancel your registration or change to a different class within 30 days of the class start date, there will be a non-refundable deposit of $100. However, if we can fill the spot you canceled or changed, we will reduce this fee to $50.
ONCE THE CLASS HAS STARTED, THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR PRO-RATING OF FEES
Please note that once the class has started, fees cannot be refunded or pro-rated.
